farther adv.更远。它是far的比较级。

例：The model plane can fly farther than you think of.

proud adj.骄傲的，自豪的。它在句中既可作表语，也可作定语。其后可接of短语、不定式或that从句。常用短语：be/feel proud of 为……感到骄傲。它的同义词是take pride in。

【辨析】win与beat/defeat
